About the role We are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our busy clinical workflow teams within our Core Clinical and Specialised Application portfolio. You will operate at a support level and maintain and support critical business applications used across Health NZ. You will work closely with business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure applications remain stable, secure, and fit for purpose. This role plays a key part in troubleshooting issues, supporting system maintenance, managing incidents, and contributing to ongoing enhancements that strengthen performance and reliability. In this role, you will: Maintain and support business applications to ensure stability and availability Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application incidents and problems Manage and track service requests using service management tools Perform routine system maintenance and support upgrades or improvements Work collaboratively with development and technical teams to resolve complex issues Support users by providing guidance and clear communication on system issues Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with operational, security, and risk management requirements From time to time, you may be required to travel, participate in on-call support, or work outside standard hours to assist with incidents, upgrades, or project go-lives. About the Team and Service This role is in the Core Clinical and Specialised Application portfolio within Digital Applications & Products group which sits within Digital Services and supports the core critical clinical applications that are used by our clinical teams rely on every day. Our team work closely with stakeholders across the health sector to ensure digital solutions remain reliable, secure, and aligned to organisational needs. About you You'll bring solid technical support experience, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in providing high-quality support. You will ideally have: 3-5 years' experience in a technical support or IT support role Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ideally supporting complex business critical applications. Experience using service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management A relevant IT qualification or certification (e.g. CompTIA A+) Knowledge of IT security best practices and basic networking concepts Experience working in the health sector (desirable) You'll also demonstrate a commitment to equity in healthcare outcomes, and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
