This is a rewarding and diverse role where you will utilise your nursingexpertise, critical thinking, and judgement to provide safe, person- andwhānau-centred care across a wide range of medical and surgical cases.As part of a small but highly skilled team, youwill practise both independently and collaboratively, supporting patients andtheir families through complex health journeys while role-modelling excellencein rural nursing care.You'll have the opportunity to:* Work across a variety of clinical contexts in rural practice.* Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, implement and evaluate care plans, and deliver high-quality evidence-based interventions.* Support and guide Enrolled Nurses, Health Care Assistants, and others in the delivery of care.* Contribute to service development and integration of care, aligned with Te Whatu Ora West Coast's model of care.* Ensure professional, ethical, and culturally safe practice, with a strong commitment to achieving equity of outcomes for Māori and Pacific peoples.**About you***Essential:** New Zealand Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate (no conditions preventing fulfilment of the role).* Demonstrated ability to work within scope of practice, applying evidence-based knowledge and clinical judgement.* Completion of, or commitment to undertake, cultural competency training.* Excellent organisational, communication, and documentation skills.* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite).* Ability and confidence to work with children.*Desirable:** Previous medical, surgical and/ or rehabilitation nursing experience.* Current Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio.* Full, clean NZ driver's licence.**Working for Health New Zealand**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated toensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
