About the Role As a Research Nurse , you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality respiratory research that supports improved health outcomes for our communities. This role plays an important part in ensuring clinical studies are well-coordinated, culturally safe, and aligned with Te Whatu Ora values and standards. You will work collaboratively with investigators, sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams to support the smooth initiation and ongoing management of clinical trials. You will help uphold Good Clinical Practice and Te Whatu Ora Waikato policies while supporting research that advances knowledge and strengthens care for the people we serve. Key responsibilities Support investigator initiated, collaborative and pharmaceutical trials, ensuring all processes required, are completed in a timely manner to commence studies. Assist in the preparation of all necessary resources and documentation to efficiently enrol patients onto clinical trials as per the trial protocol. Contribute to relationships and liaise with collaborative and external organisations. Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the Respiratory Research Trials Unit's standard operating procedures (SOP) and Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Waikato) policies and procedures. About you Ideally you will bring experience working in a clinical, research, or health‑related environment, with a solid understanding of trial protocols, regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). You are organised, detail‑focused, and confident managing documentation, timelines, and communication across multidisciplinary teams. Positive attitude and is team focused. Excellent time management and works well independently. Having had experience in coordination of care in their clinical practice, is desirable. Work inclusively with others and has a patient centric approach. Previous Respiratory experience will be an advantage, but is not essential. Previous clinical trial experience is ideal but not essential.
