About the role We are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our 30‑bed inpatient General Medicine ward, Ward 33 North at Middlemore Hospital. In this role you will support the registered nurses with day‑to‑day patient care, helping to deliver high‑quality clinical support to patients and families. Responsibilities Assist the RN with day‑to‑day tasks of caring for patients. Provide clinical care to patients as required. Be highly organised, prioritise tasks, and maintain efficient patient care workflows. Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families. Level 4 HCA certificate with at least 1 year HCA experience in New Zealand, or Level 3 certificate with 2+ years experience (equivalent qualifications assessed). Good communication skills.
