Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and takes pride in quality workmanship. About the role You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mechanical systems and equipment across a busy industrial site. The successful candidate will bring a proactive approach to both preventative and reactive maintenance and be confident working independently as well as part of a team. Key responsibilities Conduct mechanical maintenance and repairs on a range of plant equipment Fault finding and diagnostic work to minimise downtime Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance Ensure all work is completed to a high safety and quality standard Assist with project and shutdown work as required What we’re looking for Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent) 5+ years’ experience in a similar heavy industry environment Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Proven commitment to health and safety practices Ability to lead and mentor apprentices or junior fitters (desirable) What’s on offer Competitive hourly rate based on experience Full-time, long-term opportunity with a respected company Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture Work/life balance in a great coastal location #J-18808-Ljbffr
