Night Shift Produce Supervisor Location: Christchurch, Canterbury Shift: From Sunday to Friday, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Enjoy your Saturday’s off) Position Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Night Shift Produce Supervisor to lead our nocturnal operations in Christchurch. You will oversee a dedicated team of 16 warehouse operatives, ensuring our fresh produce meets the highest standards before distribution. Key Responsibilities Lead & Train: Manage, motivate, and coordinate 16 night-shift team members, actively training them in outgoing quality control standards. Outgoing Quality Control: Inspect outgoing produce orders for final freshness, grading, and premium presentation before dispatch. Timely Packing: Monitor shift workflows to ensure all customer orders are packed accurately and efficiently to meet strict dispatch deadlines. Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts to move and stack produce pallets. Maintain Standards: Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations. Safety First: Enforce warehouse health and safety protocols throughout the shift. What We Are Looking For Licenses: Current OSH Forklift Certificate and F Endorsement. Leadership Experience: Proven track record managing teams of 10+ people and a passion for coaching/training staff. Industry Knowledge: Experience handling fresh produce or perishable food products. Time Management: Strong ability to drive speed and efficiency in a high-pressure packing environment. Night Owl: Comfortable working consistent, dedicated night shift hours.
