Job Description
Overview Help shape the future of education in New Zealand. This permanent part‑time (0.5FTE) position supports the Ministry of Education's TeMahau regional teams by analysing and interpreting data to inform and support internal and external work programmes. Responsibilities Analyse and interpret data to provide insights, trends, risks, and opportunities for organisational and system‑level decision‑making. Respond to requests for information and prepare written communications, working papers, reports, and presentations to relevant internal staff. Provide analytical support to sector teams and other stakeholders, collaborating across integrated teams. Qualifications Recent, relevant experience in collecting, collating and analysing data and information. Proven ability to use data and insights to influence and guide decision‑making. Strong written communication, numerical, statistical and information technology skills. Exceptional time‑management and work‑prioritisation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across integrated teams. Understanding and application of the principles of TeTiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenua. Willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
