Job Description
Role Overview This is a varied role working across the branch that will see you involved in serving customers in the Yard & Drive Thru and the Trade Counter area. As well as getting customer order ready for dispatch. Ensure that our customers, who are made up of trades, businesses and homeowners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service. Process sales at our trade counter and assist customers with any returns or repairs. Pull orders to get them ready for delivery and load goods onto customer vehicles. Assist as directed to ensure an efficient warehouse is maintained. Cycle counting, stocking and rotating products on shelves. This is a permanent full‑time role, offering 42.5 hours a week. Working Monday to Friday with one rostered Saturday every 3 weeks. Based out of our Whangarei branch. Responsibilities Serve customers in the Yard & Drive Thru and the Trade Counter area. Prepare customer orders for dispatch. Provide a cheerful smile and exceptional service to trades, businesses and homeowners. Process sales at the trade counter and assist customers with returns or repairs. Pull orders, prepare for delivery and load goods onto customer vehicles. Assist as directed to maintain an efficient warehouse. Cycle count, stock and rotate products on shelves. Pre‑Employment Checks Pre‑employment checks including references, medical, drug test and a criminal background check are required, as well as the legal right to work in New Zealand indefinitely. About You / Qualifications Organised and reliable team player who enjoys working in a close‑knit team. Customer‑focused with an outgoing attitude and strong work ethic. Flexible to work across multiple departments in one day. Proven experience in a customer service role in retail sales or warehouse environment. Physically fit, capable of manual handling and heavy lifting, with solid health and safety values. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers. Motivated, self‑driven, able to work proactively, independently and under pressure. Confident with computers and can learn new systems.
