Job Description

Field Service Engineer Location: Dunedin, Otago Provide exceptional technical support and service customer sites in automation, controls, HVAC, BMS, and access control to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize downtime. The candidate will be based in Dunedin and will be expected to travel to sites outside of Dunedin at times, including Queenstown, Christchurch, and Invercargill. Key Responsibilities Service, maintenance and commissioning of Honeywell and third‑party equipment (as per trade expertise) Day to day servicing, calibrations and maintenance; including diagnoses, repairs faults, programming and commissioning in various control systems across HVAC, BMS Delivery of Service Projects; including design, documentation, procurement, programming and commissioning. Navigate and interrogate Control System Interfaces Estimates materials costs and quantities Ensuring customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers and service recipients Key Experience & Capabilities A Trade Certificate in a related field is essential. Electrical certification is required 5-7 years of relevant experience in BMS, HVAC are required Experience in building automation DDC controls as well as instrumentation and industrial controls will be considered Must hold a valid driver’s licence and ability to travel when required to the sites mentioned above Intermediate computer skills Strong commitment to customer satisfaction Good communication skills both verbal and written Self‑motivated and the ability to work independently without supervision The ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer, and we support a diverse workforce.
