About the role Reporting to the Site People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll support day-to-day HR operations across our Auckland manufacturing sites at Royal Oak and Rosebank. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with people while also organising processes, improving systems, and keeping operational details on track. It’s a great opportunity for an HR professional looking to build their advisory capability while working alongside an experienced HR Business Partner in a supportive manufacturing environment. This is a part-time role (30 hours per week), with flexibility in how those hours are worked across our core business hours. We’re open to arrangements that support your work-life balance. The role is primarily based at our Royal Oak site, working closely with leaders and operational teams. While there is some flexibility to work from home occasionally, you’ll generally be onsite to build relationships and provide visible HR support. Travel to our Rosebank site is also required. Key responsibilities You’ll work closely with the Site HR Business Partner and leaders across Supply Chain to: Provide timely, practical HR advice and support to leaders and employees. Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities. Coordinate training activities, maintain training records and support learning compliance. Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems (Dayforce), ensuring documentation is current and compliant. Prepare HR reporting and analyse people metrics including turnover, vacancies, absenteeism and training compliance. Support employee relations activities, including performance, attendance, disciplinary processes and investigations. Support employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives. Contribute to organisational change initiatives, including restructures and workforce transitions. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and the employee experience. About you You’re a confident and approachable HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships and working in a collaborative, operational environment. You’re someone who enjoys building relationships just as much as keeping things organised. Whether you’re providing practical HR advice, coordinating recruitment, maintaining HR systems or supporting leaders through people processes, you’re proactive, approachable and always looking for ways to improve how things are done. You will bring Experience in a generalist HR role, with exposure to providing HR advice and coordinating operational HR processes. Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation. Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience managing recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle administration. Experience coordinating training, compliance or capability activities. Confidence supporting employee relations activities, including performance management and investigations. Experience maintaining HR systems and reporting; experience with Dayforce is highly regarded. Experience in manufacturing, logistics or another operational environment would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees.
