Permanent Full-Time Position Position consists of 0.5 FTE with Awhi Mātua Fraser McDonald Unit and 0.5 FTE with the Memory Clinic at Greenlane Clinical Centre. About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our teams at Awhi Mātua Fraser McDonald Unit and Awhi Mātua Community. In this role you will provide expert psychological support to our patients, bridge care between our in-‑patient unit, community teams and allied services such as rest homes and private hospitals. You will offer specialist consultation to the multi-‑disciplinary team and meaningfully contribute to integrated, person-‑centred care that makes a real difference in the lives of our patients. You will be part of the Memory Clinic team and be based with the Awhi Mātua community team at Greenlane Clinical Centre. You will provide psychological and neuropsychological assessments and be involved in triage and referral management processes. About the Team/Service/Location Unit: Awhi Mātua Fraser McDonald Unit – located on the Auckland City Hospital site, 15‐bed acute admission unit providing 24/7 specialist care. We offer comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment for people experiencing acute mental illness or behavioural challenges related to dementia. Our multidisciplinary team includes consultant psychiatrists, charge nurse, nurse unit manager, registered nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, nurse educators, mental health assistants, a team administrator, registrar and house officer. Memory Clinic – located on the Greenlane Clinical Centre site, the service aims to provide comprehensive screening and diagnostic services for people with early dementia and other cognitive problems of uncertain origin. The service aims to assess the person's cognitive strengths and difficulties. About You Registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board with a Clinical Scope of Practice. Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology (or a recognised equivalent). Recent post-qualification experience in mental health (excluding student placements). Neuropsychological/cognitive assessment skills and familiar with commonly used assessments. Current Annual Practising Certificate. Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
