CSCS is a private, non-denominational school accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). Spiritual Doctrine Demonstrates a spiritual maturity in attitude, actions, and speech, showing a consistent walk with Jesus Christ. In all work, is sensitive to the spiritual needs of students and parents, and co-workers. All employees are viewed as ministers of the Gospel; duties such as leading devotions, prayer, Scripture reading, and integrating biblical truths in daily job responsibilities are integral to all employment positions. Minimum Educational Requirements & Ministerial Expectation Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university; must hold or be able to obtain an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teacher certificate. Must have CPR & First Aid training or be able to obtain it. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Effectively integrate biblical truths throughout academic teachings Knowledge and experience teaching math to include algebra, college algebra, and geometry Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established curriculum goals Employ a variety of instructional and technological techniques and strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students; utilize current technology and variable modalities including hands–on demonstrations and activities Knowledge of and desire to use relevant and emerging technologies in the classroom Prepare appropriately for classes and show written evidence of preparation, including lesson plans Create a classroom environment conducive to learning; include appropriate code of conduct policy Monitor and assess academic progress; communicate with parents and administrators regarding the progress and potential of students Maintain accurate, complete and up–to–date records including attendance and grades Be able and desire to lead small peer groups of middle–school students as a spiritual and relational mentor Perform other duties as assigned Commit to and fully support the missional and organizational standards including our Core Values, Mission Statement, Statement of Faith and Christian Beliefs, and Doctrinal Statement Additional Qualifications, Skills and Responsibilities Evidence of spiritual maturity and strong grasp of Christian education; ability to demonstrate true biblical integration through the subject area Through effective communication, build healthy, effective relationships with students and families to support and enforce the biblical, whole-child educational experience Understanding of curriculum and demonstrated ability to integrate subjects into interdisciplinary units as appropriate Participate in curriculum and staff development training Participate in before/after school activities as requested by Administrator Work well with other teachers, support staff and administrators Supervise students in out-of-classroom activities during the school day as well as an occasional evening activity as assigned Maintain a safe and orderly classroom to promote an inviting place for students to learn and to inhibit relational aggression Be competent with tests, assessments, and the use of data in making educational decisions Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
