Role Senior Full Stack Developer – React/Angular & Spring Boot Location Auckland Job Type Contract Experience Level Mid to Senior Level About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mid/Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise web applications across both front-end and back-end layers. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with React and/or Angular for front‑end development, along with Java and Spring Boot for back‑end services and API development. This role requires a strong focus on secure, maintainable, and high-quality software delivery within an agile environment, collaborating closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Delivery teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain end-to-end web applications. Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end applications using React and/or Angular. Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable back-end services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Design and optimise database models, queries, and data access patterns. Integrate internal and third-party systems using REST APIs, enterprise services, and secure authentication mechanisms. Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Designers, QA, DevOps, and Security teams. Participate in sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies. Contribute to solution design, code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production issue resolution. Write and maintain unit, integration, and API tests to support reliable software delivery. Follow secure coding standards, CI/CD practices, branching strategies, and Agile delivery methodologies. Create and maintain technical documentation including API specifications, design documents, deployment notes, and support documentation. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in full stack software development across front-end and back-end technologies. 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing enterprise web applications using React and/or Angular, along with Java and Spring Boot. Strong experience with front-end frameworks, specifically React and/or Angular. Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot for back-end service and API development. Good understanding of RESTful API design, JSON, authentication, authorisation, and API security. Experience with secure API development, vulnerability awareness, secrets handling, role-based access control (RBAC), and OWASP security guidelines. Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or Oracle. Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, accessibility, and UI engineering best practices. Experience writing unit, integration, and API tests using modern testing frameworks. Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum delivery practices. Experience participating in sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, QA, and DevOps teams. Proven experience delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable applications in Agile environments. Strong debugging, analytical problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills. Nice to Have Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
