Peer led, it is staffed with both nurses and support workers, making it a rare and special combination. Piri Pono is available to those experiencing extreme mental distress who have been assessed by the Rodney Adult Mental Health Services. Guests are able to stay for up to 10 days in a homelike, personalised environment with a holistic approach to wellness. Role | Nga mahi Nurses within Piri Pono will walk alongside people in their journey and provide quality nursing care to guests accessing the service. They will ensure quality mental health and well‑being outcomes for guests in line with established philosophies and accepted best practice. The nursing role will collaborate with guests and other key stakeholders, including WDHB staff and family/whanau, to ensure the very best treatment outcomes for guests during their stay with us at Piri Pono. You will | Nga Pukenga Have experienced your own mental distress and recovery Have a qualification in nursing and hold a current registration/annual practising certificate Have experience working in Mental Health Have the ability to work in a team environment and from a bicultural perspective Be professional and have good boundaries and ethics Full NZ Drivers License Valid/Current work visa, residency, or citizenship Have a passion for walking alongside those in need, supporting on‑going goals on the pathway to recovery When applying please have | Kia Whakauru Updated CV/Resume Cover Letter - detailing the following: Why you’re interested in the role?
