Location and Work Arrangement Based at Tauranga Hospital, within the Bay of Plenty region. Fixed-term parental leave cover: part‑time position (0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week) for up to 12 months. Job Overview As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation Services, you will provide goal‑directed, interdisciplinary assessment, treatment, and recovery for patients aged 16 years and older requiring specialised acute stroke care and rehabilitation. The role is offered on a rotating roster that includes morning, afternoon and night shifts. Responsibilities Care for a diverse range of patients requiring specialised acute stroke care and rehabilitation. Conduct interdisciplinary assessment and treatment planning for patients aged 16 years and older. Support patients through their recovery journey and contribute to maximum functional recovery. Qualifications Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate. Two or more years of nursing experience, preferably in stroke care, rehabilitation or a related specialty. Strong communication skills, collaborative approach and passion for supporting patients through recovery. Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care and continuous professional development. Flexibility to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays).
