We have a high turnover of patients and work within afast-paced environment. We are looking for a Hospital Aide to assist Midwiferyand Nursing staff whilst maintaining a safe and clean work environment.You will be responsible for:* Cleaning and making up birthing rooms* Cleaning and preparing theatres* Ward cleaning and stocking* Ordering food and linen supplies* Delivering patient meals.This position on birthing suite has minimal patient contact.The service operates Monday to Sunday across 3 shifts:Morning - 6:30am to 3:00pm, Afternoon - 2:30pm - 11:00pm andNights - 10:30pm - 7:00am.Please note the successful candidate must be flexible tocover across all shifts.**About the Service**The Christchurch Women's Hospital provides maternityservices that are specialised to provide care to women who have medicalproblems or are experiencing complications in their pregnancy.**About You**You will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team,have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a high level ofconfidentiality, and the ability to work well under pressure.* Ability to work all shifts - Morning, Afternoon and Nights* Ability to be flexible Monday to Sunday* Honesty and Integrity* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage well* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team* Initiative and a proactive approach to work* Ideally experience as a Hospital Aide or similar**Working at Health New Zealand**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
