We're growing fast in Data & Analytics, and we need an experienced, engaging Customer Advisory Architect to shape offers, lead discovery, and design compelling solutions that deliver measurable outcomes for our customers. You'll be at the front of the room – a trusted advisor who can simplify complex choices and guide stakeholders with confidence. What you'll do This is a senior role where your expertise will help the future of data and analytics for some of New Zealand's most ambitious organisations. As a Customer Advisory Architect at Fusion5, you'll be the bridge between vision and reality—translating complex technical possibilities into clear, compelling solutions that drive real business outcomes. You'll collaborate with passionate teams, inspire confidence in customers, and play a pivotal part in our ongoing growth story. You will: Shape our go‑to‑market alongside sales, delivery, and partner teams—aligning campaigns and solution plays to build pipeline in priority industries. Lead discovery and solution design, capturing business drivers and architecting modern data platforms and analytics solutions. Design and deliver demos, PoCs, and envisioning workshops that link capabilities in Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks to real business outcomes. Develop proposals, estimates, and SOWs, present clear options, and coordinate approvals and smooth handovers to delivery. Advise on governance and integration strategies (think Purview in Fabric, Snowflake on Azure with ADF/dbt, and Power BI). Stay current on platform roadmaps and partner programmes to bring funded workshops and accelerators to customers. What you'll bring 7‑10 years' experience in data platform architecture and analytics delivery, with a strong customer advisory track record. Extensive experience delivering consulting engagements across senior business stakeholders, building trusted advisor relationships and influencing outcomes at executive level. Deep expertise in architecting solutions with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks, and the ability to recommend the right components for data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, governance, and integration. Advanced data engineering and analytics skills, including SQL, Python, data modelling, performance optimisation, and ensuring data quality at scale. Proven ability to qualify opportunities, translate requirements into high‑level solution architectures, and communicate value‑based stories to both technical and executive audiences. Confident in facilitating workshops and demos, as well as developing proposals and statements of work. An AI‑first mindset, helping to set the future standard for technical development across the integration landscape.
