Job Description
Job Overview Production Technician – Permanent, full‑time. Location: Wellington – Upper Hutt, NewZealand. Reports to the Production Manager within the Global Animal Health Manufacturing organisation. Competitive remuneration and benefits are provided. Responsibilities Manufacture antigen and/or vaccine to required standards according to set production schedules. Operate equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform tasks and processes in accordance with SOPs. Document all tasks in batch records, worksheets or logs in compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP). Maintain good housekeeping. Plan and prioritise daily workload. Communicate clearly and promptly with Manufacturing Team members and other departments to ensure smooth flow of product, samples and documentation. Provide on‑job training to other technicians in relevant areas of expertise. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Minimise deviations by: Ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with SOPs. Investigating root causes of deviations using process knowledge and problem‑solving techniques. Identifying and implementing Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) to eliminate further deviations. Complete deviation reports and ensure CAPA implementation within required timeframes. Maintain all documentation in line with company and quality standards. Review and update documentation such as SOPs, batch records and worksheets to maintain GMP standards. Author or review assigned SOPs and documentation within required timeframes. Implement changes to production documents and processes in accordance with agreed change proposals. Qualifications Science degree or equivalent preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
