Physiotherapist | Intensive Care Unit | Christchurch Hospital Full-time, 40 hours per week. Two permanent full‑time roles within ICU. Hours include weekend and on‑call roster, as negotiated. Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board and an Annual Practicing Certificate is essential. Mō te tūnga | About the Role We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist to join our Cardiorespiratory and Surgical cluster in Christchurch Hospital. In this role you will help develop the ICU service, support and upskill junior staff, and work with patients across Medical Respiratory, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular and Surgical Progressive units. Weekend work and on‑call roster contributions are expected. Kowai koe | About You Undertaking expert assessments, completing appropriate interventions and providing advice or referring to other services; Supervising and mentoring rotational staff and final‑year physiotherapy students; Helping to facilitate service improvements. Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience Previous experience in the critical care environment; Broad experience ideally including respiratory surgery and cardiology (desirable); Ability to work collaboratively across the multi‑disciplinary team; Enthusiasm and confidence in sharing knowledge across your discipline; Working knowledge of quality improvement processes.
