We are seeking an experienced Associate Cost Manager to join our growing Real Estate team , delivering high‑quality cost management services across a diverse portfolio of developments including commercial, residential, mixed‑use, and urban regeneration projects. You will take responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery , often on large or complex property projects, acting as the key day‑to‑day client interface to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end cost management across real estate development projects Act as the primary client contact, ensuring successful project delivery against cost, time, and quality objectives Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, procurement, and tender processes Oversee post‑contract activities including cost reporting, valuations, and change control Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting and resource management Build strong relationships with clients, developers, and project stakeholders Support business development through bids, client engagement, and market opportunities Mentor junior team members and contribute to team and process improvements Education & Professional Accreditation Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Property, or a related discipline MRICS, AIQS or equivalent professional qualification (or working towards) Experience & Skills 6–11 years’ experience in cost management or quantity surveying Proven experience delivering consultancy services on real estate or property developments Experience leading cost management commissions on medium to large‑scale commercial, residential, or mixed‑use projects Strong understanding of the full real estate development lifecycle, from feasibility through to post‑completion Solid knowledge of construction and commercial principles, including procurement routes, value management, and cost control Experience managing or mentoring teams within a project environment Strong client‑facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills Turner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
