Mō te tūnga | About the role We are looking for an experienced Programme Coordinator to support the Tamariki & Whānau Services (TWS) Integrated Change Programme. The TWS Integrated Change Programme is a strategic portfolio of initiatives designed to help Oranga Tamariki respond to increasing demand, workforce pressures, and the growing complexity of need among tamariki and rangatahi. The programme brings together four interrelated projects that strengthen workforce capability, improve care responses for children with complex needs, expand partnerships with community organisations, and improve National Contact Centre performance. Working closely with the Programme Manager, Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), project and workstream leads, you will play a key role in supporting programme delivery across a complex and fast-moving change programme. You will coordinate programme activities, reporting, governance processes, risks, issues, dependencies and financial tracking, helping to ensure delivery remains aligned across multiple interdependent workstreams. You will also provide governance support, including coordinating programme reporting, acting as secretariat for governance meetings, driving actions and decision tracking. This role is based in our Wellington National office with flexible WFH options. Due to the operational requirements and dynamic nature of the role, it will be beneficial for you to have the close support of the team around you. Candidates for this role are required to already be based in Wellington or be willing to relocate to Wellington for this opportunity. Key requirements of the role include: At least two years' experience in a Programme Coordinator, PMO or similar programme support role. Experience supporting complex programmes, transformation initiatives or multi-workstream projects. Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail. Experience maintaining programme plans, RAID logs, action registers, dashboards and programme reporting. Experience supporting governance groups and coordinating papers, agendas, minutes and actions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a range of stakeholders. Confidence working with senior leaders and supporting governance decision-making processes. A proactive and self-managing approach, with the ability to identify issues early and help drive practical solutions. Resilience, adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving programme environment. Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams. An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to working in culturally responsive ways, including an appreciation of tikanga Māori and Pacific perspectives.
