Job Description

Field Service Engineer As a Field Service Engineer, the Service Engineer is responsible for the successful high‑quality delivery of their assigned projects and service work. This requires preparing, planning, executing and controlling all aspects of the project and service delivery directly. They are responsible for servicing customer sites, maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing customer site downtime by providing exceptional delivery and support. Key Responsibilities Keep abreast of site maintenance and customer needs by continually developing customer relationships Provide technical support to peers, which may include other technical representatives, Account Managers, Engineers, etc. Identify sales and service opportunities Maintain current technical knowledge—may require additional activities such as self‑learning on technical products Keep customers fully informed of possible system enhancements and upgrade paths Key Experience & Capabilities A degree or considerable experience in an Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic or similar engineering field or trade Minimum 3 years relevant experience in BMS/HVAC with Niagara systems or Security A comprehensive understanding of BMS systems or Security with control theory, plant operation, tuning and fault‑finding including diagnostics Electronic security knowledge will also be highly regarded Strong customer relations skills with commitment to customer satisfaction Ability to communicate complex issues with clarity, both in written and verbal form Ability to work under pressure and capacity to deliver against multiple objectives Collaborative attitude with a customer‑focused mindset Ability to travel to support other teams in Central and lower North Island Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer, and we support a diverse workforce.
