Job Description

About the Role The Sales Executive – Outside Sales is responsible for promoting and selling CMA CGM Group shipping and non‑maritime services while driving sustainable business growth across the New Zealand market. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer relationships, increasing market coverage, and achieving commercial targets through a proactive and customer‑focused sales approach. Reporting to: National Sales Manager Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑Time Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of customers, identifying opportunities to grow revenue and market share. Prospect, secure, and onboard new customers while expanding business with existing accounts. Conduct regular customer visits and sales calls to build strong relationships and uncover commercial opportunities. Promote CMA CGM Group services, including shipping, intermodal, e‑commerce, and value‑added solutions. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to support the achievement of sales targets and business objectives. Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry. Demonstrated success in a sales, business development, or customer relationship management role. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert business opportunities. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self‑motivated and results‑driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
