Senior Finance Partner - Product Development

Role Overview Fisher & Paykel is one of NewZeland’s best‑known brands and a global company with a strong heritage and ambitious plans. This leadership role places finance at the centre of innovation, product strategy, investment decision‑making and commercial performance. Reporting to the EVP Product Development and dotted line to the CFO, the role partners closely with Chief Engineers, Global Product Managers, Product Development leaders and global finance teams to shape the financial success of future product lines. Responsibilities Provide trusted commercial partnership to Product Development and Product Management leaders, delivering strategic financial insight, commercial thinking and data‑driven recommendations that shape investment decisions, product strategy and long‑term performance. Drive budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting and capital expenditure management across Product Development while continuously improving tools, reporting frameworks and financial processes. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence senior leadership decision‑making. Support the evaluation of new product investments, ROI, product profitability and financial modelling to guide product portfolio decisions. Build commercial capability across the wider Product Development leadership team, embedding a stronger commercial mindset and challenging assumptions. Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing finance capability, fostering a culture aligned to Fisher & Paykel’s values and performance expectations. Qualifications CA qualified with tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or Accounting. At least seven years of senior finance, commercial finance or strategic business partnering experience. Strong analytical capability in financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and commercial evaluation. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence senior leadership. Confidence partnering with stakeholders across product, engineering, manufacturing and other commercial functions. Excellent judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships in complex environments. Experience within manufacturing, product development, FMCG, consumer goods or other global product‑led organisations highly regarded.
