Role Overview Bealey Quarter is looking for an experienced and hands‑on Accommodation Manager to join the team at one of Christchurch’s most unique hospitality destinations. Located on the edge of Christchurch CBD, Bealey Quarter combines accommodation, dining, bars, events and entertainment all in one vibrant precinct — attracting a mix of locals, travellers and guests year‑round. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys fast‑paced hospitality environments and wants to be part of a venue with strong culture, personality and growth opportunities. Reporting to the Venue Manager, you’ll oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the accommodation department, ensuring high standards across guest experience, presentation, team performance, compliance and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a strong hospitality leader who enjoys balancing guest service, operational management and team leadership while creating memorable guest experiences. What’s on Offer Salary package between $65K–$72K depending on experience Career progression opportunities across AVC & NZVC venues Staff discounts across food & beverage Supportive and energetic team culture Opportunity to join one of Christchurch’s most exciting hospitality precincts Key Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day accommodation operations Oversee reservations, check‑in/check‑out and room allocation processes Maintain high standards across guest experience and presentation Manage guest feedback and customer service recovery professionally Supervise, train and support accommodation team members Ensure compliance, safety and operational procedures are followed Complete operational reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives Support a positive, accountable and high‑performing team culture What We’re Looking For Previous experience within accommodation, hotel or hospitality management Experience using RMS or similar property management systems essential Strong knowledge of reservations and accommodation operations Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast‑paced environment Strong guest service and problem‑solving skills Hands‑on leadership style with attention to detail Flexible availability including weekends and peak periods when required Equal Opportunity Statement Australian Venue Co. promotes a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion through programs like AVC Pride for LGBTQIA+ support, Her Hospo for empowering women, and a First Nations Committee for reconciliation.
