Job Description
Senior Business Operations Manager, IBB – Permanent full‑time role based in Britomart, Auckland. Reporting to the Senior Manager IBB Operations, the Senior Business Operations Manager will shape and execute the operational and strategic agenda across IBB, combining strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery. The role supports senior leaders in translating strategy into action, ensuring operational priorities deliver meaningful outcomes for customers, employees, and the business. Responsibilities Lead operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency, simplify processes, and strengthen delivery outcomes across IBB. Drive implementation of strategic priorities, transformation programmes, and business change initiatives. Partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into prioritised delivery roadmaps and actionable plans. Use business insights and performance data to identify opportunities, risks and trends, providing recommendations to support decision‑making. Deliver governance, reporting and performance narratives for leadership forums. Influence and collaborate with stakeholders across IBB and the wider bank to align priorities and achieve shared outcomes. Act as delegate for the Senior Manager IBB Operations when required, ensuring continuity of leadership across key initiatives. Qualifications Commercially minded with significant experience within financial services, ideally in business, commercial or corporate banking. Demonstrated success in business operations, operational excellence, transformation, strategy execution or business performance roles. Experience leading complex, multi‑stream programmes and initiatives involving diverse stakeholder groups. Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills, engaged at all organisational levels. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, translating insights into action. Experience developing executive‑level reporting, business cases, recommendations and governance materials. Track record of driving change adoption, business readiness and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to bring structure, prioritisation and clarity to complex business challenges.
