Forestry Relief Officer at Wilson Group

About the Role We’re looking for Forestry Officers to join our team in Rotorua. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working outdoors, and being part of a team that plays an important role in keeping forestry operations safe and compliant. Duties Conduct patrols throughout forestry areas and logging routes Monitor logging truck speeds and load compliance Respond to incidents, trespassing, and safety concerns Support the safety and security of forestry operations Maintain accurate reports and communication records Operate CCTV, radios, and other communication systems Deliver professional and respectful customer service Work closely with your patrol partner and the wider team What you’ll need A positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong communication and relationship‑building skills Ability to stay calm and make decisions in challenging environments Confidence working outdoors and in remote locations Good level of physical fitness and awareness Ability to problem‑solve and think on your feet Comfortable using PCs, CCTV, and radio systems A clean, full NZ Driver’s Licence Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check A current COA or the ability to obtain one (we can help you with this) NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa Why work with FIRST Security Rotating roster Mix of day and night shifts providing plenty of Whānau time 12‑hour shifts offering consistent hours Full comprehensive training provided Great team environment – always working with a partner Access to the ‘Perks’ program with discounts on retail, fuel, and groceries Strong focus on training, development, and career progression Ongoing welfare checks and a positive health & safety culture Access to EAP services, including counselling and financial support for you and your family #J-18808-Ljbffr
