You'll be covering weekends, public holidays, and leave as needed — perfect if you want to stay connected to aviation without a fixed schedule. Responsibilities As a UNICOM Operator, you'll be the communication link between pilots and the airport — passing on weather updates, traffic information, and other key details to keep things running safely and smoothly. You'll work alongside ground staff and other airport users day-to-day and respond calmly and professionally if anything unexpected comes up. Full training is provided. Qualifications What you'll need One of the following (current or held within the last 10 years): Commercial or Private Pilot's Licence, or It'd also be great if you have Familiarity with Whanganui Airport and local airspace A cool head under pressure and good attention to detail A solid understanding of aviation regulations and safety A heads up — the tower is accessed via three flights of stairs, so you'll need to be physically fit for the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
