570 Crown Range Road, Arrowtown 9302, New Zealand Posted Tuesday, 16 September 2025 at 10:00 am Reporting to Construction Supervisor / Superintendent, this position is part of the team building and shaping a new golf course. Site based role during the golf course construction phase. The role involves supporting both the construction team and greenkeeping staff with a wide range of practical tasks. It is a hands‑on, physically demanding role suitable for entry level candidates. On the job training will be provided, and previous experience operating small machinery or working in landscaping, construction, or grounds maintenance is a bonus. The Role Key Responsibilities: Assist construction staff with golf course development, maintenance, and construction tasks Carry out general labouring duties such as digging, raking, lifting, moving materials, turf preparation, and soil work Operate or assist with small machinery including tractors, diggers, Positracks, utility vehicles, or other equipment, following training and authorisation procedures Maintain tidy and safe work areas, clean tools and equipment, and follow all site health and safety procedures Assist supervisors and team members with ad hoc tasks to support workflow and project requirements Work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from supervisors and senior construction staff Follow all site health and safety procedures and policies Use personal protective equipment as required for all tasks Report hazards, unsafe practices, or incidents immediately to supervisors Participate in toolbox talks, and safety meetings Maintain awareness of surroundings when operating or assisting with machinery Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used and stored safely Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Completion of assigned tasks safely, accurately, and on time Demonstrated adherence to health and safety procedure Effective collaboration with supervisors, operators, and team members Positive attitude and engagement in on the job training Maintenance of clean, organised, and hazard free work areas About You Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills Comfortable working in all weather conditions Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or grounds maintenance (Preferred but not essential) Experience operating small plant or turf equipment including tractors, diggers, Positrack loaders, or utility vehicles (Preferred but not essential) Class 2 driver licence or equivalent (Preferred but not essential) Ability to work safely and follow all procedures consistently Strong teamwork and communication skills Adaptability and willingness to take on a variety of tasks Practical problem solving skills and attention to detail Professionalism and respect for supervisors, colleagues, and the worksite What We Offer: Competitive pay with opportunities to grow as skills develop On the job training across construction and greenkeeping work Opportunity to gain practical experience operating machinery and performing a wide range of construction and maintenance tasks Supportive, team oriented environment with experienced supervisors and staff Potential for ongoing employment as the course progresses or into permanent greenkeeping roles #J-18808-Ljbffr
