Job Description

About the Role Critical Care Technician at Nelson Hospital. Key responsibilities include organising efficient supply, procurement and maintenance of equipment, ensuring appropriate stock‑control management systems and processes are in place, ordering equipment supplies and liaising with key stakeholders. Work arrangement: 48 hours per fortnight (0.6FTE), Monday to Friday 7:00AM to 5:30PM. No on‑call. About the Team/Service/Location The Nelson ICCU is a close and supportive team with a nine‑bed unit catering to ICU, Coronary Care and High‑Dependency patients. The successful candidate will also support the Emergency Department and the Cardiac Cath Lab, providing opportunities to learn and grow daily in a dynamic environment. About You Strong team player, supportive of colleagues and open to new ideas. Co‑operates and liaises with others in multidisciplinary settings. Has awareness of own skills and limitations, knowing when to seek assistance, and is willing to contribute to team meetings. Accepts instructions and feedback, takes responsibility, uses initiative, is self‑motivated. Adaptable, flexible and open to change. Experience as a Technician in health care or NewZealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZQA Level3). Valid driver’s licence. Eligible to work in NewZealand or holds a valid NZ work visa.
