Civil Materials Laboratory Cadet or Technician – Gisborne Laboratory We’re looking for a motivated Cadet or Junior Technician to join our Gisborne Laboratory team. This is an entry-level opportunity, and no previous laboratory experience is required – we’ll provide full training. You’ll need to be physically capable, enjoy hands‑on work, and have an interest in pursuing a career as a Civil Materials Laboratory Technician. Basic data entry and flexibility for occasional overtime are required. In this role, you’ll contribute to a variety of projects across both laboratory and field environments, supporting work that helps shape the future of our communities. About you Experience in labour or trades-based roles (e.g., construction, roading, warehousing, farming) is advantageous. Strong physical fitness and ability to safely handle heavy materials and equipment. Basic computer skills and confidence following digital instructions. A team player with good communication skills. Willingness to travel and work overtime when required. Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence. Full, unrestricted working rights in New Zealand.
