Position Overview Permanent, fulltime position available. Role will be based at our Whanganui Site. Competitive salary ranging from $57,096 to $62,773, depending on experience. About the role Do you want to make a difference to New Zealand's tamariki, rangatahi, whānau and communities within Whanganui? Come and join our great, supportive, and fun team and grow your administration experience to new heights as we provide statutory care and protection services. Responsibilities Administration needs of Social Work kaimahi including assistance with financial plans, data collection and scheduling. Liaise with vendors, casual staff and other stakeholders. Work with various cultural groups and people from different backgrounds. Book rooms, answer phones and assist on the reception desk. Organise welcomes/whakatau for newcomers and whānau as and when required. Deal with critical scenarios in a calm, professional manner. Qualifications Full clean New Zealand driver’s licence is required (historic convictions may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis). Support the team with all aspects of Health and Safety. Strong computer and IT knowledge. Administrative skills such as typing, reporting and responding to Site needs. Cultural awareness and an understanding of Tikanga Māori principles. Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Strong time management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt to your audience. Understanding and appreciation of cross‑cultural practices, in particular knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' culture.
