# Project Manager## About this role* Join a varied project portfolio spanning physical infrastructure and asset improvement initiatives* Build strong relationships and influence outcomes across a diverse stakeholder group* Fixed term until 30th June 2028, based in Wellington at our National Office**Mō te tūnga | About the role**As a Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of physical asset infrastructure projects across a diverse portfolio. Projects vary in scope and complexity and may include building upgrades, waters infrastructure, mechanical and electrical systems, and other asset improvement initiatives.You'll manage projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, as you'll work closely with contractors, consultants, operational staff, prison leadership teams, and senior stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:* Managing physical asset infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.* Ensuring projects meet safety, quality, budget, and programme requirements.* Identifying and managing project risks and issues.* Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.* Providing guidance and support to Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators.**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**We're looking for a Project Manager with experience delivering physical infrastructure or asset-related projects in a complex environment.You'll bring:* Project management experience in assets, property or construction disciplines* Experience delivering projects across a range of asset types and varying levels of complexity.* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.* Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.* The ability to identify risks, solve problems, and achieve project outcomes.* Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and best-practice delivery approaches.As travel is required, a current New Zealand driver's licence is essential.**Ngā painga | The benefits**The midpoint of the salary range is $131,914 per annum.
