Compliance Specialist Job Description Join ACCIONA as a Compliance Specialist on the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana – Ara Tūhono project, a major infrastructure initiative enhancing connectivity, safety and regional growth in New Zealand. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Compliance Manager to lead compliance, governance and assurance activities within a complex, multi‑stakeholder delivery model. You will safeguard contractual integrity, maintain robust governance frameworks and support long‑term project performance across construction and operational phases. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, governance processes and assurance systems. Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual, regulatory and statutory obligations across all project phases. Oversee compliance across multiple contract interfaces, ensuring clear accountability and effective coordination. Manage audit and assurance activities, including preparation of reporting for senior leadership and governance forums. Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and contractual risks to protect project performance and reputation. Required Skills and Competencies Demonstrated experience in compliance, governance or assurance within major infrastructure, PPP or project finance environments. Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks and multi‑party delivery models. Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and commercial teams. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset. Applicants must be a New Zealand Resident/Citizen or hold appropriate work rights to work in New Zealand.
