This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team supporting people across a variety of inpatient and community settings throughout the MidCentral district.As an Allied Health Assistant, you'll work under the direction of registered allied health clinicians to deliver therapy programmes, support rehabilitation, assist with equipment provision, and help people achieve their health and wellbeing goals. Every day brings variety, meaningful connections, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of patients, whaiora and their whānau.**About the Role**Working as part of a collaborative Allied Health team, you will:* Deliver delegated therapy interventions under the supervision of registered clinicians.* Support patients and whaiora to achieve greater independence and confidence in their daily lives.* Assist with the assessment, delivery and installation of equipment.* Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising clinician.* Complete clinical documentation and provide administrative support.* Work across a range of clinical areas as required to meet service needs.* Build positive relationships with patients, whānau and the wider multidisciplinary team.This role offers excellent variety and is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with people while contributing to high-quality rehabilitation and patient-centred care**About you**You'll be a caring, organised and proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping others.You'll bring:* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* The ability to work confidently under delegation while managing competing priorities.* A commitment to culturally safe practice and achieving equitable health outcomes.* A willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills.* A professional, compassionate and positive approach.* A current full New Zealand driver's licence.Experience working in health, rehabilitation, disability support or community services would be an advantage, but most importantly you'll have a genuine desire to support people on their recovery journey.**About the Location****Manawatū is known for its effortless blend of city and rural living; here you can choose your ideal lifestyle, from peaceful rural villages, to bustling townships, or city life.** It's a family-friendly place that's easy to live and work, with easy access to an array of outdoor activities – beaches, ski fields, lakes, mountains, as well as fantastic mountain biking and hiking tracks.
