Technical Manager – Packaging (Northern Site) Location: Mangere Bridge, Auckland. We have an exciting opportunity at our Packaging Northern site in Mangere Bridge. Reporting to the Facility Manager at our large 24/7 Auckland plant, the Technical Manager is responsible for 4 direct reports and leads the Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance requirements for the site. The successful candidate will have significant QA and compliance experience including the following responsibilities: Managing and coordinating external audits Compliance and administration of GMP and HACCP systems Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of quality and food safety management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FSSC22000) Ensuring management systems are well documented and adhered to Improving customer complaints and investigating non-conformance issues Working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques i.e. LEAN Six Sigma, RCA Statistical Quality qualifications Leading and developing a team Background in manufacturing sector with FMCG, Packaging or Food Quality Relevant tertiary qualifications Personal attributes Proven ability to influence and communicate with a wide range of people across sales, operations and supply chain Strong leadership and coaching skills Exceptional time management, organisation and co-ordination skills Highly detail oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement Benefits 7.5% superannuation benefits package including medical cover, life and income protection insurance On-site free parking Additional information This is an exciting and challenging role in making our site customers their best supplier, and suits someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, become highly visible and improve performance.
