Cambridge Experienced support worker preferred Permanent part time - includes working weekends 32 hours a fortnight between 8am and 7pm About the role IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and as part of their community. You will be supporting people with intellectual disabilities living in their own homes to achieve their goals and aspirations. This is meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that are important to others. As a Support Worker you will be supporting clients with complex needs, managing risk, and ensuring their safety. Previous relevant experience is preferred, but more importantly, we are looking for someone with varied life experience and an open-minded attitude. What you will bring Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults. A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours. Availability to work flexible shifts between 8am and 7pm, includes weekends. Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support. Full NZ driver's license. Full rights to work in NZ.
