Description As part of our Roading department, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Roading Construction and Maintenance projects. This is a permanent full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects in South Westland and maintaining the roads for our region's users. Work may include: Operating and maintaining plant equipment efficiently and safely (our machinery includes graders, rollers, excavators, loaders) Performing road work, excavation work, lifting work Conducting regular inspections and carrying out routine maintenance on machinery Assisting with loading, unloading, and transportation of materials as required Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Adhering to project schedules and deadlines Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues and working in collaboration with them General labouring duties are also required and may include shovelling, digging, raking, etc. Skills and Experiences MUST HAVES Proven experience in Roading or Construction operating excavators / loaders Class 4 driver's licence, and endorsements for W, T, R Able to work flexible hours to cover the on-call roster with emergency works Ability to work as part of a team, or unsupervised and independently NICE TO HAVE Class 5 driver's licence Leadership experience at Foreman level Field experience with AWM/RAMM To apply for a job with us, you MUST be eligible to work in New Zealand.
