Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Anaesthetists (Senior Medical Officers) who want to make a positive impact while working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and supportive team. We are looking for Anaesthetists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients. Positions include covering planned and acute care theatre sessions, after‑hours on‑call support and pre‑assessment clinics. Opportunities span everything from obstetrics, paediatrics and emergency medicine through to highly specialised services including women's health, cardiothoracics, transplants, burns and neurosurgery. About you To work with us, you must: be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) hold an equivalent international postgraduate specialist qualification to the Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) hold an Annual Practising Certificate (APC) issued by the MCNZ upon registration. Salary, benefits and leave Salary The average salary package for Anaesthetists in New Zealand is USD ~197,684 (NZD 343,500). Packages are comprised of a base salary based on experience, plus allowances, and superannuation per the ASMS collective agreement. Benefits You will receive: an annual continuing medical education (CME) allowance of USD ~9,208 (NZD 16,000) paid 3‑month sabbaticals every 6 years your indemnity insurance covered by Health NZ your professional fees and subscriptions fully reimbursed complimentary visa and immigration support a tailored relocation package to make your move, if eligible.
