We are looking for a talented health and safety leader to drive the next strategic refresh of our program as well as provide assurance across our diverse portfolio of businesses. About The Role As our Group EHS Assurance Lead, you will work across multiple business units in NZ & AU to provide expert guidance, oversight and assurance on health and safety risk management, leadership, culture, health and exposure monitoring, critical controls, audit programmes and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead enterprise-wide EHS assurance programmes and monitoring activities Maintain Fletcher Building Standards and Systems to provide reporting and assurance Lead critical risk verification programmes, audits, exposure monitoring and control effectiveness reviews Develop insightful reporting and dashboards that provide visibility of key risk and assurance metrics Provide assurance reports and recommendations to Executive leadership teams Monitor emerging legislation, regulatory changes and industry developments Support external assurance activities including ISO certifications and audit programmes Facilitate knowledge sharing, coaching, mentoring and capability development across EHS communities What We’re Looking For Significant experience in EHS assurance, occupational health, occupational hygiene, safety management or related disciplines Experience working within large, complex or multi-site organisations Deep understanding of critical risk management, assurance, auditing and critical controls Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards and industry best practice Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills The ability to analyse complex information and translate it into meaningful business insights Experience in high performance coaching, mentoring and uplifting capability across teams Experience working within the Dupont models including the Dupont Bradley Curve is preferred Experience working in high influence, low degree of control environments Desirable Degree qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environmental Health or a related discipline Experience supporting ISO 45001 or similar management systems A minimum of 15 years’ experience Why Join Us?
