Job Description
About the Role We are looking for an Academic Skills and Literacy Tutor to support learners in building essential reading, writing and study skills for success in further education and employment. The role involves delivering content within our Bridging Level 3–4 programmes, teaching academic literacy, writing and study skills to adult learners. Responsibilities Teach academic literacy, writing and study skills to adult learners. Support learners to build confidence and capability. Create engaging, learner‑centred teaching environments. Provide meaningful assessment, feedback and guidance. Collaborate with tutors, support teams and stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience Experience teaching literacy or study skills, ideally with adult learners. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Learner‑centred and inclusive approach. Confidence using digital tools and teaching technologies. Relevant tertiary qualification – teaching qualification preferred or willingness to complete. Collaborative, approachable and supportive.
