Working closely with Technical Services, Geology and Underground Operations, you'll develop mine plans, optimise production schedules and provide technical support to underground crews. Key Responsibilities Prepare short, medium and long-term underground mine plans Design development drives, stopes and production sequences Monitor mine performance and identify improvement opportunities Develop production schedules and forecasts Conduct drill and blast design and optimisation Ensure compliance with mine design standards and statutory requirements Work closely with Geology, Survey and Underground Operations teams Analyse production data and prepare technical reports Support operational teams with engineering advice and technical guidance Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the operation About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring: Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline Previous experience in underground hard rock mining Experience with underground mine planning and scheduling Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan or MineSched Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Current Driver Licence Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental performance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable Experience within underground gold or metalliferous mining operations First Class Mine Manager's Certificate or working towards one Drill and blast design experience Previous exposure to production engineering or technical services Current First Aid Certificate Build Your Future Here: Opportunities to join a mining operation at this stage are rare.
