Quality Assurance Engineer – Freightways Information Services – Auckland, N, NZ – Full Time, On Site Freightways Information Services’ Development teams build the software that keeps our Express Package division moving — every parcel, every day. We’re looking for a proactive QA Engineer to join our Auckland team and continue raising the bar on quality. What you’ll do Advocate for unit testing and shift‑left quality with our developers. Design, build, and maintain Playwright UI and API automation in .NET / C#. Test APIs and business workflows using practical, risk‑based approaches. Work with developers and product owners to identify quality risks early and contribute to reliable delivery. Contribute to shaping test strategies across API, web, and desktop applications. Join Agile refinements and contribute to crafting testable user stories with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects. Maintain the health of our test environments – keep them stable, available, and reliable. Help maintain confidence of our CI/CD pipelines – where green builds mean "ready to ship". Use AI‑powered developer tools to accelerate test creation, review, and exploration. Share knowledge, mentor others, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. What you’ll bring 5–7 years’ experience as a test engineer or QA Engineer. Strong C# and .NET Core skills. Experience with Playwright across UI and API automation. Solid background in API testing. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test suites. Familiarity with Agile delivery environments. Working knowledge of SQL & NoSQL technologies. Familiarity with microservices, containers, and serverless architectures. Hands‑on experience using AI‑powered developer tools. Strong technical documentation skills, including written and visual documentation. Exposure to modern cloud and engineering ecosystems, including platforms such as Azure, GitHub, and AWS. Experience maintaining environment health, monitoring, and operational resilience across delivery or production environments.
