About the Role As a Registered Nurse in the Relief Team, you will provide high quality, patient‑centred nursing care across a wide range of clinical areas throughout Hawkes Bay Hospital. Working flexibly, you will support wards and services experiencing increased demand, vacancies or surges, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining safe staffing levels. You’ll complete comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, provide evidence‑based interventions, and work closely with patients and whŅa during their hospital journey. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to different specialties and team environments. The Relief Team The Relief Team works across Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldier Memorial Hospital, supporting medical, surgical, acute, rehabilitation, and specialty areas. You’ll work closely with Clinical Nurse Managers, the Integrated Operations Centre, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient care delivery across the hospital. About You Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid APC. Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. IV designation. Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical areas and patient populations. A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equitable care. Desired A current PDRP portfolio. Experience working across multiple specialties such as medical, surgical, acute or rehabilitation.
