Design intuitive, accessible, and user‑centered digital experiences by combining user research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping; collaborate with product, engineering, and research to deliver polished interfaces that meet business and user goals. Responsibilities User research: plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and contextual inquiries; synthesize findings into personas, journey maps, and user needs. Interaction design: create user flows, wireframes, information architecture, and low‑ to high‑fidelity prototypes to define product behavior and navigation. Visual design: develop pixel‑perfect UI designs, style guides, and visual systems (typography, color, iconography, components) consistent with brand guidelines. Prototyping and testing: build interactive prototypes (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Framer) and run usability tests; iterate designs based on user feedback and analytics. Design systems and components: build and maintain reusable component libraries, documentation, and token systems to ensure consistency and scalability. Collaboration and handoff: work closely with product managers and engineers to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and hand off assets/specs; support implementation and QA. Accessibility and inclusive design: ensure interfaces meet WCAG standards and accommodate diverse user needs. Data‑informed design: use analytics, A/B testing, and qualitative research to validate design decisions and measure impact. UX writing and microcopy: craft clear, concise microcopy and error states that improve usability and reduce friction. Mentorship and advocacy: mentor junior designers, run design critiques, evangelise user‑centered practices, and contribute to design culture. Qualifications Experience: 2–7+ years in UX/UI, product design, interaction design, or similar roles; portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end product work. Education: degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, or equivalent experience. Tools: proficiency with Figma, Sketch, AdobeXD, Framer, or similar; prototyping tools (Principle, ProtoPie); basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for handoff. Skills: user research methods, wireframing, visual design, prototyping, accessibility, information architecture, and component‑driven design. Soft skills: strong communication, collaboration, empathy, problem‑solving, and ability to balance user needs with business goals. Bonus: experience with design systems, motion design, front‑end frameworks, or data visualization. Performance Metrics Usability test success rates and task completion time. Product metrics influenced by design (conversion, retention, engagement). Design debt and component reuse rates. Time‑to‑deliver for features and iteration velocity. Stakeholder and developer satisfaction with design handoffs.
