Agency Trade Manager – KIX, ANZEX, Pacific Islands Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑Time The Agency Trade Manager – KIX, ANZEX & Pacific Islands is responsible for developing and executing trade strategies, managing cargo allocations and forecasts, optimising vessel and equipment utilisation, and working closely with sales teams and principals to maximise cargo performance, market share, and profitability across the assigned trade lanes. Role and responsibilities will include: Managing trade performance across the KIX, ANZEX and Pacific Islands services. Producing cargo flow and equipment forecasts to support operational planning and allocation management. Monitoring and managing cargo allocations, prioritising bookings in line with commercial objectives and principal directives. Developing and implementing commercial strategies to improve cargo mix, market share and revenue performance. Analysing vessel profiles, trade performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities. Collaborating with Sales, Cargo Flow, Customer Service and overseas stakeholders to achieve trade objectives. Providing regular reporting on forecasts, shortfalls, allocations and trade performance to management and principals. To be successful in this role, you will need: Previous experience in shipping, logistics, trade management or a related commercial role. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, forecasts and market trends. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing commercial or sales strategies. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across internal and external networks. Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue growth and customer outcomes. Advanced problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with shipping or logistics systems. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must have full working rights in New Zealand.
