Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 20/07/2026, End Date: 27/02/2027 (Maternity Leave) Area / composite (Years 1–15), Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Hamilton Christian School, a coeducational Year 1–13 state-integrated Christian school, is seeking a suitably qualified and passionate teacher to join our Year 5/6 team in a full‑time fixed‑term position covering maternity leave from 20 July 2026 – 27 February 2027 (7.5 months). We are looking for a teacher who: Is able to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Deliver high-quality teaching aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum. Foster students' academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and whānau. Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school. The following would be an advantage, but are not essential: Experience with effective device integration in teaching and learning. Experience in Christian education. Special Character requirement As a Christian school, a commitment to and passion for Christian education is a condition of appointment. Applicants must: Holds current New Zealand teacher registration and a current practising certificate. Is committed to supporting and upholding the Christian special character of the school.
