What You’ll Be Doing Engage fully in McCain’s comprehensive apprenticeship programme, including off‑site block courses and training as required. Work alongside experienced electricians, maintenance teams, and production staff to support plant reliability and performance. Assist with installation, maintenance, fault‑finding, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and automation across the site. Progress toward achieving all competency requirements for a qualified electrical tradesperson. Participate in all required training and development activities to support ongoing professional growth. Build confidence and capability over time, taking increasing responsibility for electrical tasks under supervision. Follow all company policies, including food safety, hygiene, occupational health & safety, and McCain’s Code of Conduct. Maintain a strong commitment to electrical safety and safe work practices, including compliance with lockout/tagout procedures. Carry out additional duties as directed, within your training and capability. Work closely with maintenance and production teams across shifts. What You’ll Need to Be Successful Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent), with passes in Mathematics, Science, and English. A genuine interest in electrical systems, automation, or engineering. Strong commitment to health and safety practices. Good communication skills and willingness to learn. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
