This role guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you may be required to work up to a maximum of 50 hours per week between Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. As a Trainee Electrician, you will receive a competitive hourly wage starting from $26.00 to $32.00 , based on your skills and experience. Key Responsibilities Assist the Electrician with the installation of electrical systems, wiring, outlets, lighting, switches, and electrical panels. Support in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical faults in residential, commercial, and industrial systems. Learn and apply the use of electrical testing equipment and tools to assess electrical circuits and systems. Assist in ensuring electrical work is carried out in accordance with applicable electrical regulations and safety standards. Assist in upgrading and replacing existing electrical systems, including wiring, breakers, and outlets. Participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems to ensure their reliability and safety. Assist with cable installation, cable pulling, testing, and other electrical tasks as directed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist in documenting work activities, progress, and any issues or faults identified during work. Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times. Job Requirements A valid EWRB Trainee License is essential. Minimum one year work experience working as an electrical trade assistant or in a similar role. Class 1 driver license is required. Basic knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC or local standards) is beneficial. Ability to follow instructions, blueprints, and diagrams accurately. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces or at heights. A strong knowledge of safety protocols.
