Job Description
Civil Leading Hand Carpenters wanted! About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Leading Hand Carpenters to join our clients growing team across Auckland. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil construction who can lead crews, maintain high‑quality workmanship, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to spec. You will play a key role in delivering a variety of civil construction projects across structures, roading, and infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise site crews on civil construction projects. Coordinate daily site activities and allocate tasks effectively. Carry out and oversee formwork, boxing, concrete works, and structural carpentry. Readplans,and construction drawings. Ensure work is completed to quality standards and project deadlines. Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance. Liaise with supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and clients as required. Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience as a Leading Hand Carpenter or Senior Carpenter within the civil construction industry. Strong experience in civil works, including: Structures Roading Infrastructure projects Concrete and formwork construction Ability to lead and motivate crews while maintaining productivity and quality. Sound understanding of construction drawings and specifications. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Licence and Endorsement Requirements Essential: Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence. Advantageous but not essential: Additional New Zealand licence classes (Class 2, 4, or 5). Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsements. Relevant civil construction qualifications, certifications, or tickets. What We Offer Competitive remuneration based on experience.
